I can remember when snowboards were banned at Mammoth.

Hiking up @ Twin Lakes, Mammoth, CA, I met & chatted it up w/Steve for about 20 mins. Amazing, & then the subject switched to bears in Sweden! They love 'em in Sweden! Cool guy, knows his stuff, thx.

Dave asked John to plow the road now and then--John did one better and gave Dave the snow plow to do it himself--John K Smith became Inyo county Administrator for 33 years--he and Dave had a long friendship,about the same age,both passed about the same time-both men were cut from the same cloth,both very rare...

I was able to see it and use it on Wednesday and Thursday of opening week after it opened on Saturday. Its beautiful, efficient, and fun to use. The offloading is super efficient and shielded from the wind. The loading area which historically has been a major bottle neck is now more fluid.
